Choylent is a play on Cholent, a slow cooked stew put up Friday afternoon for the midday Shabbos meal, http://goo.gl/pJ6Ei, and soylent.
Superfood Multivitamins are used in lieu of a custom vitamin blend.
Sulphur is calculated as the amount of cysteine and methoionine in the pea and rice protein. For the DIY discussion, see http://goo.gl/kC7f9v.
// I dropped Pea Protein from the recipe b/c what I had was an isolate and did not contain any fiber. Pea and Rice Protein have complimentary amino acid profiles, which is why both are used and not just one or the other. Buying the protein in bulk would lower costs by roughly $0.75/day. [12/28/2014. Pea protein removed].
Minerals and vitamins account for $1.46 of the daily cost. A custom bulk blend should be able to halve that, and together with savings from bulk protein orders, the total costs can be lowered by approx. $1.50/day, If the psylliium can be removed, another $0.46 is saved, bringing the daily costs to around $2.75/day.
// See Choylent_rev2 for a version with ingredients weighted more toward Soylent: Maltodextrin, Rice Protein, Oat Flour. With the reduction of oat flour comes a reduction in fiber. To make that up I added hemp protein, though from my taste tests it probably is not a viable solution.
