I adapted the BBB http://www.makesoylent.com/recipes/brians-brain-booster-bbb-uk and took ingredients available in Germany. The Prices are all in Euros despite the fact that there is a dollar sign in front of them. I converted them with Wolframalpha and then rounded the result to the higher value (so you might even get away slightly cheaper). Note that BBBs prices are all in british pounds.

Shipping from Bulk Powders to Germany is free for orders over 100 GBP or 6.99 GBP if under, which is very reasonable (especially since some of the items are pretty heavy). If you order the whole list you are above that amount. You can save 5 GBP on your first order with the referral code: JG101269. Your Amazon shopping list also exceeds €20 which means there is no shipping fee there as well.

I also adjusted a couple of things. I decreased the amount of table salt because Sodium was way too high (I don't want high blood pressure). I also decreased the cod liver capsules and added normal fish capsules to keep the high Vitamin A in check. Also this is cheaper. The Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids should be fine but I couldn't find precise numbers so I didn't add any to the nutrition field. I removed the probiotics and the Coenzyme Q10 because they are included in the new Multivitamin. It also includes other nice nootropic agents - so for now I have removed the Pramiracetam and the Theanine, but I might add it back later. Since the new multivitamin didn't include Iodine, there are now some Iodine pills in the mix. You can add them directly to your drink and they will dissolve (at least mine did). I removed the digestive enzymes as well. My pancreas/gall bladder are working fine - thank you.

I also reduced the amount of calories, but you can readjust them pretty easily by increasing the maltodextrin and the whey protein. The decrease didn't effect the other nutritions significantly and an sight increase (say to 2500 kcal) won't either.

The Vitamins should be fine. The recommended intake of Vitamin K here in Europe is 60 for women and 80 for men, I got 119. The recommended value in the US seems to be 120. Remember that Vitamins E, D, K and A are all fat soluble so if you are taking high concentrations for a long time vitamin poisoning is possible.

The B-Vitamins (Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Panthotenic Acid (B5), as well as B6 and B12) are all water soluble and land in your pee if you don't need them. Very high doses of Vitamin B12 (10x the dose prescribed here) have also been associated with decrease in homocysteine and a decrease of brain loss in the elderly.

Because most people will want to try this soylent thingy at first, I decreased the amount of most ingredients to a point where they will last for only about 1-2 months (about 50d excluding easy to get things like coconut milk). That keeps the initial cost down by quite a bit.

The mixing instructions are the following:

  • Mix the soy lecithin with the oil and mix them briefly. Let them rest while you prepare the other ingredients

  • Mix maltodextrin, table salt, potassium chloride, MSM, choline, lecithin, iodine tablets and creatine with about 400ml of Water and mix well until the materials have dissolved

  • Add the coconut milk

  • Add the whey protein, blend well

  • Add the oats, blend well

  • At last add the oil/soy lecitin mixture and blend again.

  • When you're ready to drink it, add the psyllium husk, shake well and bottoms up

  • Take the Fish Oil Pills and Cod Liver Oil (Lebertran) pills with your meals. Your full stomach will release some hormones that lead to a better resorption.

I will try this recipe myself starting at the beginning of october and I will update this when I have some more experience.
