Flaxseed was chosen primarily to increase the percentage of omega-3 fats. The probiotic is optional, but recommended based on 1.5 years of testing previous versions. Flavoring: Stevia is optional, of course. About 2 tablespoons of powdered peanut butter (e.g. PB2) will create a light and pleasant taste variation with this build. I also put in a dash (~1/8 tsp) of MSG to balance out the sweetness.
