Simple recipe, low-entry cost, Amazon-only recipe (except salt). The quantities here make a minimum of 23 days (give or take depending on how much of the whey isolate you use), and leaves very few leftovers in case you don't want to do it again. If you only make 23 days' worth and don't ever use the leftovers, the cost is $6.18/day or $2.05/meal.
The only less-than ideal aspect of this recipe is that the flax is large compared to the rest of the ingredients. If you can grind that up to be smaller, it would make the recipe more consistent texture-wise, and therefore more appealing to some people. Otherwise, with enough water mixed in ("enough" TBDefined) the results are tasty (neutral flavor with a hint of vanilla; tastes a little bit like oatmeal) and not powdery.
