I've removed all corn/masa as I am corn sensitive, and used a variety of protein sources:
Whey Protein Isolate (Unflavored) Rice protein powder Now Foods Pea Protein Powder Soy Lecithin Granules Bob's Red Mill Flaxseed Meal
I'm not too concerned with the soy lecithin as from the Soylent blog (below), the actual lecithin is separated from the soy substance. It is used for the health benefits as well as the emulsification properties:
Soy Lecithin (6g) - Lecithins, often used in baking, have emulsification properties. Soylent is a colloid that combines substances that are normally immiscible. Emulsifiers like lecithin allow for a homogenous mixture of what would normally separate immediately. Lecithins are a mixture of different fatty substances and choline, and are completely metabolized by the body. While derived from soy, lecithin is completely isolated from proteins and phytoestrogens from the plant and thus is safe for consumption by those with a soy allergy.
All items on order, waiting for shipment to arrive (as if 1/23/2014) Everything should arrive by 1/29/2014 - 2/3/2014.
I decreased carbs and increased protein/fat content for nutrient profile, therefore not concerned about the 97% for protein.
Sodium is very slightly higher than limit, I'm not too concerned. I might use a pinch or two less, depending on flavor, although this will decrease my Chloride amount (which is currently at 100.0%).
There is no flavoring added, but I figure I'll try adding cocoa powder or vanilla depending.

I made the original formula, it was gross! I have now decreased the rice protein powder, pea protein powder, flaxseed meal, and completely removed potassium citrate, as these seemed to be the culprits. This made it too salty, and a little sour. I'll make batch 2 tonight. Also, I'll be taking the women's multivitamin complex separate, as those smell/taste awful! Apparently the added nutritional stuff like berry extract, and whatever... But it's my main source for iodine and chromium at this point, so until I find a better source for those...
It was described as tasting like oatmeal. I tried adding a splash of vanilla, some splenda, and that didn't make it any better. To round out the taste, I added agave nectar, just to see, and that worked... Except, I used about 1 tbsp of agave nectar for 2-3 tbsp of the liquid. Also, speaking of liquid, it was very watery. I used 500 ml of water for one-third of the powder, so I need to figure out how to make this thicker.
So... trying to utilize all of the ingredients I've already purchased...
I need to find a new source of potassium. I picked a bottle up from the local grocery store, but didn't realize how low of a dose it really was. I would need 34 tablets DAILY to get the amount needed.

Increased oat and whey protein and multivitamin powder (all one), to increase folate, to remove the pill. Also trying canola oil instead of oilve, as olive oil has a much higher taste profile. EVOO was at 45 mL
Also going to order Potassium Gluconate instead. It is flavorless. Although... I am a little concerned with the 20g to get the right amount of potassium...
