This recipe strived to do a few things mainly: 1) Be vegan 2) Achieve between a 1:1 and 2.3:1 Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio 3) Have a high calorie content

Bonus goal was to keep prices as low as possible and ingredient restocking as infrequent as possible.

Comments on anything, but especially better ingredient sources, are welcome.

This is my own recipe that I've been making and using for around 90% of my meals for over a year now as of this review. I'm writing this mainly to make that statement as proof that this recipe won't kill you and also to share my experience with it.

I feel great. I can't say with certainty that I feel significantly better on average than when I was eating traditional meals, but I definitely don't feel worse. Preparing it daily isn't overly difficult or time consuming once you get in the groove of it (it's definitely far less time consuming than preparing multiple traditional meals throughout the day). It tastes OK. It doesn't taste as good as Soylent 1.0, but it isn't offensive either. I add flavorings occasional to switch it up but the taste doesn't bother me.

I have a high metabolism and am used to eating a lot. As such, the daily batches aren't as fulfilling as I would like - I still snack once a day or so - but I haven't been able to determine a way to increase the batch sizes without throwing off nutrient balances. For the average person this likely won't be a problem.

Restocking is super easy as everything but the protein is available through Amazon and is Prime eligible. The protein is much cheaper through BodyBuilding.com and usually gets to me in a couple of days tops even with standard shipping though. I've considered switching to the official Soylent several times purely for the convenience but I always stick with this because it isn't that much of a burden. Plus it's still significantly cheaper and I'd want to modify the official Soylent anyway to more closely match the nutrient profile in this recipe.

I'd love to hear comments and suggestions for improvements from anyone using or modifying this recipe. I'm quite happy with it for now but I think it can always be better.
