This recipe is a fork of Mudder's Milk. The main differences are that this recipe is completely vegetarian (see the "Vegetarian/Vegan Status" section for more) and it relies less on supplemental nutrient sources.
As with Mudder's Milk, I did my best to make it healthy, well-balanced, and enjoyable to drink, while keeping the cost to around $10 a day. Do you think I hit my mark? Let me know in the comments!
Preparation Notes
This section is exactly the same as "Preparation Notes" for Mudder's Milk, except that for this recipe I also use my coffee grinder to grind up the sunflower seed kernels.
Cost and Availability
This section is exactly the same as "Cost and Availability" for Mudder's Milk, except that the two ingredients in this recipe that are hard to find on Amazon are the distilled water and apple juice.
Vegetarian/Vegan Status
To the best of my knowledge, this recipe is 100% vegan except for the whey protein - which means it's actually ovo-lacto vegetarian.

Note: The WHO also has a second, stricter recommendation of no more than 27.5g per day for a 2,200 calorie diet. You can get close to this limit (down to 29g, to be exact) simply by using the unsweetened version of the almond milk - Which makes this recipe fairly bland, but still pretty good (IMHO).
