GIVE TO LUCY
This recipe is what you need if...
You want to gain muscle fast on a wholefood-based eating plan.
The default values are set for the cheapest input of protein, carbs & other lean-muscle gain nutrients, but while still remaining healthy. The zeroed out ingredients are nice but more expensive options that yield more variety & possibly better results, but for an increased cost.
To sub in sweet potato using fresh instead of powder, using 5x as much may translate well.
Misc. Info
I've decided to use a blend of pea & rice protein as the protein powders in this for the reason that they are both medium-speed digesting ones. This means they won't cause an insulin spike, but nor will they keep one full for too long (such as long-digesting protein powders such as casein). Rice & pea have the added benefit that they are the cheapest of all protein powders, and they are vegan & ethical.
Recipe for oil powder
- 200g oil
- 100g maltosec
- 2g salt
Could also try mixing oil with all or some of: protein powder, maltodextrin, Dipotassium phosphate, Disodium Phosphate, Tricalcium phosphate, Mono & Diglycerides, sunflower Lecithin, Tocopherols, & Silicon Dioxide.
Research
Most waxy maize starches, with the exception of Vitargo®, are slow-digesting, low-GI (REF).
Tips
This recipe can be combined in a blender with Überplete powder to yield a nutritionally complete liquid-meal that is also very high in calories.
If haven't got powdered oats, use pre-soaked or pre-cooked oats, quinoa, sweet potato or brown rice instead.
Make on-the-go protein bars with: https://www.youbars.com/
One of the cheapest ways to get more calories-worth of food into your diet is to eat lots of cooked starches, e.g., oats, rice or quinoa.
* To make it cheaper
For example, increasing the pea protein while decreasing the hemp protein can yield the same total protein but with a recipe that is considerably cheaper (though less healthy).
Activate your own almonds at home (see http://mywholefoodromance.com/2012/11/how-to-make-activated-almonds-soak-your-nuts-baby.html).
To increase the energy factor
Trade part of the default oils for XCT oil (ensuring to keep the omega-6:3 ratio the same).
Recipe Notes
Daily fructose for someone of my current activity is, based on Poliquin’s advice, seems to be 10–20g/day.
Information & Explanations on Ingredients
Liquids
1. Water
Ideally, spring, distilled or filtered water would be used. Tap water works fine; however, it also contains many potentially harmful things in solution, such as... (LIST COMING SOON).
2. Sunflower Oil
Included because it is a polyunsaturated oil that is high in omega-6 fatty acids. Including this allows the ratio of omega-6:omega-3 to be controlled by tweaking the quantities.
Sunflower oil has a higher content of vitamin E than any other vegetable oil, including safflower oil. [...] Sunflower oil is available in three varieties. Linoleic sunflower oil is original sunflower oil and has low levels of saturated fat as well as being rich in vitamin E. This variety is 65 percent unsaturated...
2a. Safflower Oil
Safflower may be used as an alternative to, or in addition to, sunflower oil as they offer a similar nutritional profile.
3. Flaxseed Oil
Included because it is a polyunsaturated oil that is high in omega-3 fatty acids. Including this allows the ratio of omega-6:omega-3 to be controlled by tweaking the quantities.
3a. Chia oil
This is a more expensive alternative to flaxseed oil to provide the omega-3 rich fat source. Can be included in order to provide variation if fund allow.
4. MCT Oil
MCT oils are saturated fats found, for example, in coconut oil. They are a great source of energy and can be turned into ketones in a mere 10-12 minutes (citation needed). The inclusion of this in the oil component of the nutriplete allows for a quick energy boost while maintaining ultra-low carbohydrate in the recipe.
Macro Powder Ingredients
5. Hemp Protein powder (ISOLATE OR CONCENTRATE?)
Hemp provides a vegan complete protein source (citation needed) with the bonus that it is also one of the most environmentally friendly crops due to its carbon-sequestering effect (citation needed). Hemp protein is relatively expensive for protein powders, and those requiring a cheaper recipe are advised to use a combination of pea & rice protein.
X. Spirulina
An excellent wholefood, vegan protein source. In terms of sourcing, some analyses of spirulina brands show very high levels of aluminium, so certificates-of-analysis should be consulted. Dr Bob McCauley recommends spirulina from Taiwan or California as being good starting points to look (REF).
X. Spinach
You can expect to get the following nutrients from spinach powder: •Vitamins A, C and K •Protein •High levels of iron •Manganese •Lutein •Lipoic acid •Potassium •Folic Acid •Phosphorus •Beta-carotene •Phytochemicals (REF)
X. Broccoli
Suggested Use: 5g–15g (1–3 tsp) daily (REF).
6. Sesame Seeds (ground)
Milled sesame seeds lend a thickness to the texture as well as providing omega-6 fatty acids and fibre. Ideally, the seeds would be milled at the time of the powder preparation.
7. Flaxseeds (ground)
Milled flaxseeds are a common egg-replacer in vegan cuisine and add, therefore, a thickness to the texture. In addition, they are a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids and fibre. Ideally, the seeds would be milled at the time of the powder preparation.
8. Coconut Flour (fine-milled) ((fibre, protein, fat))
Provides fibre, fat & protein. (MORE INFO NEEDED) Try making it blender from dessicated coconut (or whatever's cheapest).

Almonds control blood-sugar/insulin spikes after meals, and are, therefore, great for keto diets (CITATION NEEDED). Almonds are oft quoted as a good brain food due to their containing riboflavin & L-carnitine.
