- In small bowl, mix yeast into warm (100º-110ºF) water.
- Add sugar & mix; let sit for 10 minutes
- In mid-size bowl, mix flour & salt
- Once yeast mixture has sat for 10 minutes, combine with flour & salt mixture; add oil
- Mix until a ball of dough has been formed; if too dry, add water; if too sticky, add flour
- Once mixed, cover and place in warm (80º-85º) area for one hour
- After one hour, uncover & punch dough
- Preheat oven to 425ºF
- Knead dough until satisfactory texture has been achieved
- Using a rolling pin, flatten dough as much as possible
- Brush dough with olive oil & season with whatever seasonings you like (I use garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast... delish!)... flip over dough and do same to other side.
- Bake at 425ºF for 2.5 - 3 minutes
- Remove from oven
- Pizza crust is ready for toppings! ------ pizza crust complete. to make a pizza (nutritional info & ingredients not yet included) just do this -----
- Set oven temp to Broil
- Apply sauce & toppings
- Place pizza in oven.
- Watch cheese as pizza bakes; remove pizza when it melts. -----For Miyoko's mozzarella, in my oven, this took about 11 minutes on broil
- Pizza crust is ready for sauce and toppings! :)
