This is my latest currently-used recipe. I am constantly evolving it to tend towards Kai's Ultimate : https://www.completefoods.co/diy/recipes/kais-ultimate
Preparation : Throw everything in the blender. Add ice and sufficient water. Blend.
Taste : Close to milk+oat. Slightly salty, but unfelt with sufficient water. I add caffeine in the morning, which tastes fairly bitter without enough water.
Prices are in SGD (SGD 1 ~= USD 0.8).
Upcoming changes
Following Kai's Ultimate, I am trying to move away from oat flour, in large part because of phytic acid (aka IP6) − known to reduce the absorption of minerals. I will start with a mix of oat flour and maltodextrin, like in the official soylent.
I am also trying to lower the omega-6:omega-3 ratio to under 1:1. I am therefore going to get rid of soybean oil, and introduce fish oil to the recipe. As per Kai's Ultimate, the bulk of fat calories will come from refined sunflower oil −heavy on monounsaturated fat− and MTC oil −the "good" saturated fat.
