Things to keep in mind

  • Yes, the sodium daily values amount (2.4 g) higher than the Tolerable Upper Intake Level (2.3 g). The adequate intake (AI) amount is 1.5 g
  • The upper level (UL) of magnesium is for supplements only, not food content. The included number is based on the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) plus the upper tolerable level.
  • The UL for Vitamin A is for Vitamin A itself. There is no upper level for carotenoids like beta carotine, which the body turns in to Vitamin A as needed. Extreme amounts may give skin an orange color.
  • The UL for vitamin E, niacin, and folate apply to synthetic forms obtained from supplements, fortified foods or a combination of the two.
